Watershed Distillery is located in Columbus, OH and quickly became a favorite for bartenders and mixologists. They have a wide range of spirits that they offer. However, my favorite is the Nocino. Here's a little more about the product.
Nocino (No-chee-no) is an extremely rare black walnut liqueur. Originating from a Northern Italian recipe, Watershed’s Nocino is an aged spirit made from raw, unripe black walnuts, sugar and spices. The walnuts must be harvested prior to the nut forming, and before they fall from the tree; creating a narrow window of time to produce this rarity.
This is the only barrel aged Nocino that I'm aware of. It'd be interesting to see what a Nocino finished bourbon tasted like. But, I'll save that for another email!
