New Driftless Glen Rye Barrels Dropping Today!

by Blake Riber November 15, 2019

Available At Noon EST 11/15/19

We have two new Rye Whiskey barrels going live today. We started with 16 different barrels and slowly worked our way to two barrels. If you're not familiar with Driftless Glen here's a little more about them:

Driftless Glen is set just around the hillsides of the Baraboo valley in the Driftless region of the Midwest, purposely nestled along the river that flows as smoothly as the award-winning Bourbon, Rye Whiskey, Brandy, Vodka and Gins created inside.

Driftless Glen Distillery Single Barrel Rye - Seelbach's #161

Age: 4-Years 9-Months

Mash Bill: 75/25 Rye/Malted Barley

Barrel Size: 25 Gallon

Barrel #: 161

Proof: 120

Bottle Count: 72 bottles

Tasting Notes: This is a baking spice bomb! It immediately hits you with nutmeg, cinnamon, and clove. It has some drier, earthy notes. There's black pepper. It's a medium finish but spikes with mint and Chinese five-spice. It's all wrapped in sweetness with a balance from the proof.

Driftless Glen Distillery Single Barrel Rye - Seelbach's #265

Age: 4-Years 8-Months

Mash Bill: 75/25 Rye/Malted Barley

Barrel Size: 30 Gallon

Barrel #: 265

Proof: 120

Bottle Count: 110 bottles

Tasting Notes: Bubble gum rye spice. The nose is black pepper, caramel, and raspberries. The taste is sweet and viscous. There is a lot of orange peel and blackberries. The finish is long and complex. It fades from berries to hebal tea and finally toasted oak.
