Nulu Allocated Finished Barrels

Amburana may be the most sought after finish in whiskey. Starlight burst onto the scene with their cigar batch release. Since then we haven't been able to keep the Amburana finishes in stock. This is Nulu's first barrel finished in Amburana. And, I'm sure they'll move fast. I set this up in a blind tasting with our two Starlight Amburana finishes. After much debating, no clear winner named. In fact, all three tasters selected a different barrel as their favorite by a slim margin. I guess for marketing it would be great to say the Nulu was by far the favorite. But, this speaks to the quality of both producers. There's something about the extra spice from the Nulu 36% rye mash bill that shines through!
If Amburana is the most popular finish, Honey is clipping at it's heels. It's pretty rare that we get two allocated barrels at the same time. The Nulu Honey finished bourbon is an orange creamsicle drizzled in tupelo honey.
