Lost Lantern has built their brand on single barrels. Over the last few years they have selected and bottled dozens of barrels. Lost Lantern selected and highlighted barrels from distilleries across the country. For the first time, Lost Lantern has created a blend from a single distillery. For the first Single Distillery Series, Lost Lantern blended from Balcones and Whiskey Del Bac. To me, this is the perfect continuation for them. I love single barrels. The ability to show off a distillery through a blend is way more intriguing. Especially when multiple types of mash bills and finishes are used in the blend. These are special whiskies! We collaborate closely with some of our distillery partners to create unique whiskies unlike anything they normally release on their own. Larger than a single cask while still coming solely from a single distillery, these whiskies show a new side of some of the country’s most exciting distilleries.
