Old Elk BCR Single Barrels

In January, myself, Nick from Breaking Bourbon and Ryan and Kenny from Bourbon Pursuit traveled to Colorado to pick barrels. You can get the full rundown from the trip here. Today, we have the Cognac finished bourbon and a 9-year Wheat Whiskey. This Wheat Whiskey is one you don't want to miss! Due to people having earlier flights Ryan, Kenny and I were the last ones left at the distillery. The team made a huge mistake. The gave us a drill and a hammer and said "have fun". Obviously we went straight to the dustiest barrels we could find. After drilling into a few, this Wheat Whiskey was the winner. At 9-years old, it's one of the old Wheat Whiskeys I've seen on the market. The flavor profile is a Rollo candy!
