I don't think Dee can have a Louisville trip without visiting and selecting a few barrels from NULU. Lucky for us (and you) she only picks hitters. This is our first time picking Kentucky barrels, which is a departure from the last few single barrel releases we've had from them with a myriad of experimental finishes. This Toasted Kentucky Straight Bourbon packs beautiful campfire vibes on top of great creaminess from the base bourbon. I'm not generally huge on the toasted train, but this bottle might make me a believer - easily being one of my favorite toasted bourbons I've had.

A beautiful bouquet of toasted caramel and toffee on the nose, I mean, truly decadent and inviting.
The palate is as creamy and decadent as the nose insinuated. Thick caramel sauce, charred vanilla, buttered toffee, a kiss of clove and allspice, chocolate ganache, and seasoned oak.
The finish is long and slow, slightly drying as toasted bourbons can be but pleasing spices, french toast with maple syrup, and charred marshmallows - I’ll leave it to you to decide if they are to your liking.
