Lucky Seven Spirits |The New Yorker Amburana Cask Finish Straight Bourbon
|Few brands have made a splash on Seelbach's like Lucky Seven Spirits. We've worked hard to get several of their highly coveted single barrels and limited releases. They've released fantastic bourbon over the years. Initially, they made a splash with their 14-year single barrels, and most recently with their 9-year The Hold Up which was one of our favorites from last year. After much anticipation Lucky Seven is proud to introduce the newest member to their stellar line up "The New Yorker". This expression is finished in Toasted Virgin Amburana Casks and bottled at Full Proof. Proudly blended by their famed and talented Master Blender Ashley Barnes, this one joins the ranks, like our recent Dark Arts pick, as one of the best amburana finishes on the market this year.
Lucky Seven Spirits The New Yorker Amburana Cask Finish Straight Bourbon
- Sticky honey buns, mature oak, and lovely tropical-leaning fruit. While this has the classic amburana spice, it also has a bit more juiciness and cherry candy sweetness than others.
- More than cinnamon butter and breadiness classic to the finishing (which are still present), there is gobs of honey sweetness and oatmeal raisin cookies to the front and lasting oak to the back. Both welcomed additions compared to the other amburana finishings we’ve had.
- The finish continues with the same sticky honey sweetness from the front, continuing with subtle floral tones, vanilla icing, cinnamon or gingerbread pastry, and lasting oak.
- A sweet and buttery profile for those who aren’t afraid of the finish and want the base spirit to shine through as well.
