I learned two important lessons with these barrels. First, blending develops way more flavor than single barrels. Second, Kelvin makes incredible barrels. This may not always be the case but it sure held true for these blends. Our bourbon blend started with a powerhouse barrel. We then built complimentary barrels around it to fill in the gaps on the finish. Overall, this bourbon blend is a MPG bourbon on steroids. The toast from the barrel adds great mouthfeel and roasted notes
