If you follow the Bourbon groups on Facebook, you're probably familiar with Bull Run Distillery. Their barrel picks have garnered a lot of attention. That usually means more $$$. I'm happy to announce that Bull Run is now available on Seelbach's!
Bull Run Distillery was founded by Lee Medoff. He's a former brewer and was the co-founder of House Spirits. There's something about brewers turned distillers. They seem to be ahead of the game when it comes to making a great product.
Medoff branched out to do things differently. He wanted to create a true Oregon Single malt. He also wanted to utilize Oregon's incredible wineries. Examples of both products are available today. Some distillers "finish" their whiskey for a couple of months in wine barrels. Bull Run uses a secondary aging method and lets the whiskey finish for 22 months. The finished product is one of my favorites in the Seelbach's collection.
