Lost Lantern Spring 2023 Single Cask Collection
|
Craft and non-Heritage whiskey is at new heights. I first started Seelbach's in July of 2018. I suggested several distillers when we started. Most of them with the caveat "but wait until their whiskey gets a little older". Today, all the barrels in Lost Lantern's Spring release are at least 7-years old. It's amazing to see some of my favorite distillers have whiskey in that range. It's more exciting that the patience paid off. These aged barrels produced bottles on par (if not better) than any major producer. Most Seelbach's fans are familiar with Westland and Watershed. We've released some fantastic whiskey from them over the years. The single malt lover will enjoy the Westland new oak and Red wine finish. Are you only into bourbon or love high proof? Check out the 7-year Watershed at 132.2 proof.
Corbin Cash is new to the site. This is a distiller I've followed closely over the last 6-8 months. I've tasted a lot of their whiskey. There is a reason Breaking Bourbon named them "Best Rye" of 2022. The distillery uses 100% estate-grown Merced rye. It's aged in the heat of the Central Valley. We will dive into their story later this month, but don't miss out on this barrel!
