J. Henry Bourbon Is Back!
|
I've always appreciated products that take an unconventional route. There's nothing more unconventional than a grain farmer in Wisconsin repurposing an old dairy barn to create a bourbon brand. Not only that, J. Henry circumvented a distillery build-out by sending his grains to a local craft distiller to have them contract distilled. Here are a few other points about J. Henry & Sons:
- They waited for 5-years before ever releasing their bourbon
- They only produce bourbon from grains grown on their farm
- They're using red corn which provides a lot of additional flavors
