Blue Note Juke Joint | Single Barrels & 4 BBL
|4BBL - 'An Oldie But a Goodie' - 115.2 proofBlue Note Juke Joint is one of our highest recommended products for folks who are looking for a great value, high proof bourbon. We truly think that a great bottle of Blue Note can give higher proof Buffalo Trace products a run for their money. We've been fortunate to have a history of some great single barrels and private blends, but it is hard to keep them around! We've bumped this next round to a four barrel blend, and we've also brought in three brand new single barrels.
- Sweet maple, coconut cream, salted caramel, woodsy oak, fresh raspberries, and perfumed spices on the nose.
- The palate is complex and layered, drinking beautiful for the proof. Chewy brown sugar, strawberry, sweet milk chocolate, dried red fruits, tons of leather and long, well charred oak.
- The finish is slow to leave, laying heavy on the tongue with dense caramels, vanilla, and oak notes. One of my favorite Juke Joint's in quite some time.
#19755 - 'I Want Candy' - 117.9 proof
- Heavy toffee, brown butter, sugary citrus oils and a soft, earthy oak on the nose.
- The palate is baked fruit pie - big, chewy cherry notes and caramel dipped apples with spiced pie crust, a plethora of lingering brown sugar and soft oak.
- The finish is candied and sweet like old fashioned hard candies with orange oils and complimenting spices and toffee.
#18963 - 'Rock You Like a Hurricane' - 123.9 proof
- The nose is a tropical fruit cocktail with rich vanilla, new leather, sugary spices and a pinch of fresh oak.
- The palate is rich and coating, giving lots of vanilla and a myriad of red fruits and dried fruits before chocolatey oak and a nice Memphis hug. Amped up spices here, but still has sweetness surrounding.
- The finish is creamy and spiced with cinnamon, pepper, dried cherry, date, and raisin with leather.
#18868 - 'Easy Like Sunday Morning' - 117.5 proof
- Sweet buttercream, caramel, sugary red fruits and a kiss of graham cracker, milk chocolate and peanut butter fudge on the nose.
- A balanced start with butterscotch, oak spice, light leather, toffee and soft red fruits. Creamy, a touch herbal, but again very balanced.
- The finish lingers dry with toasted vanilla, cooked red fruits, and oaky caramel.
