Proof: 128.4 proof
Tasting Notes: The nose is round and aromatic - largely surrounding fresh cinnamon, black pepper, lemon custard, tobacco leaf, damp oak, and loads of creamy caramel and brown sugar.
The palate certainly gives some candied red fruit in there initially, but easily brushed aside for more enveloping barrel char and baking spices. Its rich and engulfing, with lots of lingering dried fruit and plenty of nutmeg, black pepper, baking spices before a healthy dose of dry oak and overcooked caramel.
The finish is long and dry, continuing to ping pong flavors of dried tropical fruits, fresh cinnamon, well charred marshmallow and dry oak. This one clings for awhile, so don’t be afraid to let it hang around for some really beautiful transition notes.
