Mash bill: Wheated
Tasting Notes:
Nose: A swirl of the glass produces cinnamon with just a bit of a baked cookie. Maybe like a Snickerdoodle cookie. There are hints of fresh wood shavings. Good oak char.
Palate: Medium high viscosity. Coats the mouth enough to enjoy it. Cherry up front. A
little more of that baked cookie note. Cherry Linzer cookie is what comes to my mind. The cherry isn’t like a fresh fruit, but more like a compote.
Finish: Medium-length finish. Smooth and crushable. Not overpowered with tannin, but
enough oak char that you know you’ve had bourbon.
About the product: 1854 Reserve was created to pay tribute to Wofford College, an icon of southern higher education, and the many lives that it has shaped since its founding in 1854. Join us as we raise a glass to dear old Wofford!
