The First Penelope Private Select

Penelope Bourbon Private Select is a series that explores new and unique expressions of Penelope's signature four-grain straight bourbon whiskey. For this release, we partnered with Breaking Bourbon to create the first private blend of Penelope bourbon. We started by selecting three barrels. Each barrel was from a different mash bill. There was a 21% rye, 45% wheat, and 99% corn.
After the barrel selection, we submitted four different blend options. After rounds of debate, we landed on a blend that was 90/5/5 21% rye, 45% wheat, and 99% corn.
FINAL BLEND:
90% - Corn/Rye/Barely 75/21/4
5% - Corn/Wheat/Barley Malt 51/45/4
5% - Corn/Barely 99/1

45% Wheat: 3yr 7 months 26 days
21% Rye: 4yr 6 months 17 days
99% Corn: 4yr 2 months 1 day
