When you think of Bourbon and Horses the stories turn to Kentucky. There's no denying the states claim on both industries. When we look at the greatest race horse of all times, it actually traces back to Virginia. In 1973 Secretariat won the Triple Crown. Yes, Big Red was born in Caroline County, Virginia. For this release, Ragged Branch used corn from the farm where Secretariat was born. This quote from Ragged Branch founder, Alex Toomy solidified this release for me. "The best racehorses can come from here, and so can the best bourbon."

Ragged Branch is pushing the heritage of bourbon. Even though Virginia is not traditionally know for bourbon. They make a great product but also have an incredible story to tell.
