About the product: Distilled from just two grains, 51% corn and 49% malted barley, Old Log Cabin Bourbon Whiskey 7 Year and Old Log Cabin Bourbon Whiskey 10 Year are extremely unique in the wide world of bourbon. Most bourbons are distilled from a mash bill with much higher corn content (65-80%) and almost always from three grains: a blend of malted barley, wheat or rye including corn.We set out to create a recognizable but notably different bourbon whiskey when we first started making this whiskey in 2013, mission accomplished.

Old Log Cabin Brand Info and History: Old Log Cabin was first poured in the mid-19th century, a whiskey so popular it gained national acclaim during Prohibition and beyond. Today, Old Log Cabin carries the spirit of American ingenuity forward.

This bourbon whiskey brand’s roots reach deep into American history, back to 1840, when E.G. Booz – its where we get the name booze from – made his first batch of liquid goodness demanded by a thirsty community. He delivered the booze, a category-defining term named after E.G. himself, in signature cabin-shaped bottles made in amber, green, aqua and clear versions at the glassworks next door. Its notoriety grew over the years and was poured generously at whistle stop tours of politicians. Old Cabin, as it was called back then, became so popular that many other American distilleries began appropriating the brand and making their own versions under the same name. During prohibition (1920-1933), the brand was made in Canada and became a favorite import of bootleggers, especially Al Capone’s infamous smuggling operations. 

Today, Old Log Cabin carries the cultural resonance of American ingenuity across three centuries. We remain committed to producing hand-crafted, small-batch bourbon whiskey in the founding tradition. Our aim is to make the art of gathering feel special. Raising a toast sparks social connections no matter the venue.
