MB Roland Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Corn Whiskey #CO1B4J25-1BA - Selected by Seelbach's

Regular price $59.99 Sale

Age: 6-years 7-month

Proof: 113.3 proof

Mash bill: 95/5 White Corn/Malt

Barrel: 25g Used Bourbon Barrel

Bottle Count: 77 bottles

Tasting Notes:  Juicy and fruity right away on the nose - like slices of freshly baked peach and blackberry cobblers fresh out of the oven, with a dollop of cool whip quickly melting overtop of the buttery crust. Still, there’s an elegant nip of oak and spice that just fits perfectly in there along with this nutella-like mix of milk chocolate and hazelnut.

The palate is warm cornbread and fresh blackberry compote - dark, dense, and satisfying. The more you sip you get all the elements of a Moon Pie - soft graham cracker and marshmallow covered in chocolate. There’s subtle notes of caramel as well, all dancing around this aromatic oak before ground espresso and hazelnut.

The finish is semi-dry and with aromatic oak before lingering notes of creamy peanut butter and honey, and chai latte.

About: MB Roland Distillery was founded by Paul & Merry Beth (“MB”) Tomaszewski in 2009 as Kentucky’s first completely “grain to glass” craft distillery. Paul is a native of southeastern Louisiana and arrived to the area via nearby Ft Campbell, while MB is a local native. An Amish dairy farm came up for sale and proved to be a wonderful foundation for a Kentucky craft distillery. One of the major benefits of the location is their proximity to their local grain supplier, Christian County Grain, located in nearby Pembroke.

The operation started out with Paul as the one and only full-time distiller in 2009. Since then their team has grown to more than 18 total employees, including MB coming over full time from her previous career. The one constant with both their production process and their location is that they love what they do and strive to make that come through in their products, the distillery, and onsite events and experiences - all this is evident in this delicious single barrel we have for you today.
