ASW Distillery Fiddler Toasted Bourbon - Cask Strength

ASW Distillery Fiddler Toasted Bourbon - Cask Strength

Regular price $74.99 Sale

ABV/Proof: Varies

Batch: 23-002

Mash bill: 51% Corn, 45% Wheat, 4% Barley

Finish: 3 months

Tasting Notes:  The nose is a toasty creme brûlée dream. Freshly charred oak, big vanilla and rich custard creaminess, raspberry.

The palate is heavy toasted influence but huge cakey sweetness. You may think that sounds sickly sweet but I assure you, it isn’t. Beautiful balance, big brown sugar and vanilla bomb with toasted maple lingering. I’m sure there are some fruit notes I could pull out, but why would you when it is just so indulgent and creamy?

The finish is long and trailing, decadent and desserty in the best way possible balanced with perfect savoriness. This just might be my favorite toasted product.

About the product:  Each batch of Fiddler Toasted Bourbon varies and sees ASW first age their unique, 45% wheat mash bill bourbon in new white oak barrels of varying char levels, then finish it in toasted barrels. By varying the toast level and amount of time in the toasted barrel, each batch enjoys its own unique flavor profile. All batch details are listed on a new inset on the beautiful front label. ASW Distillery was one of the original buyers of the 45% wheat bourbon mash bill when MGP first brought it to market – more than twice the wheat content of the famous, allocated wheated bourbons and they have taken it to new heights here.

Kings County Distillery is New York City’s oldest operating whiskey distillery, the first since Prohibition. Founded in 2010, Kings County uses New York grain and traditional distilling equipment to produce whiskey in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, just steps from the former waterfront distillery district and the legendary site of the 1860s Brooklyn Whiskey Wars. Every drop the distillery sells is made in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
