Westward American Single Malt Cider Cask

Westward American Single Malt Cider Cask "Candy Apple Bomb" - Selected by Seelbach's

Regular price $129.99 Sale

Secondary Cask: Two Towns Cider barrel

Proof: 103.32 proof

Bottle Count: 180 bottles

Mash Bill: 100% malted barley

Tasting Notes: Big, bright, and juicy nose. Thick candied apple with underlying soft chocolate ganache. Rich and fragrant, especially the longer it sits open.

The palate has those bright top notes I love in Westward, peach and apricot before transitioning to silky caramel, candied apple and then further dutch apple pie with toasted pie crust spices.

The finish lingers with plenty of oak and creamy mocha latte with more pops of the peach from the front of the palate. Candied, sugary, and creamy.

About: Westward original signal malt aged in 53 gallon, brand new American white oak (2 and 3 char). Those barrels were dumped and given to Two Towns Cider Company. They produced an Imperial Cider and returned the barrels to Westward  finished their whiskey in the barrels for 6 months.
