Tasting Notes: Nose: Fresh rye bread, rich raw cacao, peppercorns, and dried cherries with brown sugar. Palate: fine black pepper, ground cinnamon, orange oils. Lots of syrupy notes and very viscous. Medium peppery finish
The Story: After the single barrel ryes took off, we knew we needed to offer up a bottle geared towards newcomers. At 100 proofs, this small batch blend marries 4- and 8-year Rye's into a wonderfully approachable offering. Our first two batches yielded. 12,000-15,000 bottles and were available in 8 other markets other than Tennessee.
