About: This Barrel pick was done by a local group of Whiskey enthusiasts based out of Denver, Colorado. We hosted our largest event yet, with 50-60 attendees, doing our first barrel pick entirely as a group. At this event we tasted 5 different barrels that represented two different seasons of casks. The majority of the all attendees voted for the Season 3 blend, Matured in 2nd Fill American Oak, Char 3 cask, which (if I remember correctly) originally was filled with Found North Batch 001 Rye release. This whiskey was a total crowd pleaser, and appealed to a wide range of palates. Here are some tasting notes a member described "The palate had a good amount of peppery spice and some sweet caramel and honey notes along with a super heavy mouthfeel". Nothing too crazy, but it's something to start with! He is a very well respected whiskey reviewer based on reddit.
