Blue Run 13-Year Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Blue Run Spirits is a new kind of spirits company, creating a unique luxury proposition for a broader and more diverse whiskey drinker by tapping into the deep heritage and craft that makes a truly great whiskey, then elevating it through youthful, modern design and a contemporary approach to storytelling.
At the heart of Blue Run Spirits is, first and foremost, impeccable liquid. Weʼve partnered with Jim Rutledge, a 50+ year whiskey veteran, Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Famer, and former master distiller at Four Roses, who serves as the brandʼs liquid director to carefully select every drop that goes into Blue Run. Georgetown, KY, the beginning of Bourbon, is home to Blue Run Spirits.

Blue Run Trifecta Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Blue Run Trifecta Kentucky Straight Bourbon is a small-batch whiskey that demonstrates the delicate balancing act required when blending a high-quality base whiskey with the vivid flavors and aromas from older “wood heat” whiskeys. Trifecta starts with a base of finely crafted six-year-old whiskey, which makes up less than half of the composition of the total liquid. To add additional depth and character, Blue Run Whiskey Director Shaylyn Gammon blends that with two whiskeys aged in the upper reaches of their respective rickhouses, giving them what she calls “wood heat.”
Tasting Notes:

Nose: Unsalted brown butter, French vanilla cream, warm dark brown sugar and cinnamon, spicy pepper, juicy hints of figs an dehydrated apples.

Taste: Silky, cinnamon spice-dusted candied apple, baked bread, drizzled with caramel and peppermint, white chocolate. Balanced wood char lingers.

Finish: Warm vanilla, weathered oak. Medium finish overall which works well to counterbalance the upfront heat
Blue Run Kentucky Straight Golden Rye Whiskey Batch 02
Blue Run small batch Golden Rye Whiskey Summer Batch. After an incredible launch of the inaugural Rye expression we're back with batch 02. Named for both the distinct color of the choice grains that were used in the creation process and the accolades that the whiskey has garnered. Most notably, Gold medal winner at the SF World Spirits Competition.
Tasting Notes: A light note of maple and baking spice opens up the nose. There's pear cover in a caramel sauce with a touch of black pepper. It's viscous as a balance of sweet and spicy notes leads to a long ginger snap finish.
