Base Blend: Straight bourbon whiskey, light corn whiskey, and straight rye whiskey, all aged more than four years. The whiskey is then blended with a small amount of 15-year-old oloroso sherry from the Williams & Humbert Bodega in Jerez, Spain.
Finish: Aged an additional 18 months in Echoland Cabernet Franc cask.
Proof: 120.1 proof
Tasting Notes: This is the best sherry on the nose. Rich, dried fruit balanced by the spice and oak of the whiskey. This is a high proof RTD cocktail in a bottle.
The palate starts with blackberry jam, vanilla, and dried orange peel. The Cab Franc starts to show on the palate with some softer wine notes. For everything going on in this bottle it's extremely well structured and balanced.
The finish starts with notes of werthers originals and spice. It then moves to a note of concord grape juice and tobacco.
