Tasting Notes: Rich, candied herbals mix with warming caramel syrup and honey dipped melon notes for deep, sweet, and nectary nose.
If there was a bourbon punch sno cone flavor - this is what I imagine it tasting like. The palate is juicy and sweet cane sugar syrup and orange soda immediately backed up by big brown sugar and oak notes before a lingering notes of mint and artificial grape.
The finish is pillowy and trailing, long lasting with candied mint and toasted oak.
Grown, Distilled, Matured, and Bottled on the Frey Ranch
Seelbach's Story: My journey starts with the love of growing grains in a sustainable way here on the ranch – over 2,000 acres in the Sierra Nevada Watershed. Every time I step onto the land I can feel the generations before me. I’ve tilled the soil, planted the seed, and grown the grains specifically for making a bourbon unlike any other – born from 165 years of our family farming tradition every single aspect of this whiskey was crafted on Frey Ranch.
Frey Ranch Distillery was born in 2006 with a passion to showcase the quality grains that goes into their whiskey. Everything is grown, mashed, malted, distilled, matured, and bottled on Frey Ranch. With over 165 years of Nevada farming tradition in their family, Frey Ranch is proud to be one of the few distilleries in the world to sustainably grow 100% of their whiskey grains onsite. Their bourbon is a four-grain recipe of non-GMO corn, winter cereal rye, winter wheat, and two-row barley, and their rye being 100% of that estate grown winter rye.
Frey ranch 100% wheat whiskey is an expression of the single grain series, a line of whiskeys that highlights the individual grains grown on the Frey ranch. Made from soft white winter wheat and matured with an extended aging regiment, this Award-winning whiskey reflects the early pioneering spirit and nearly a decade of planning, patience, and creativity of “whiskey farmer” Colby Frey and the Frey ranch team.
