Sale
Age: 7+ Years
Double Oaked: Filled in #3 char; Secondary #4 char
Mash Bill: 68/16/16 Corn/Wheat/Malted Barley
Proof: 126.8 Proof
Tasting Notes: Imagine a chocolate peanut butter stout but it’s a bourbon. The nose is thick chocolate malt with creamy peanut butter and heavy notes of raisin and date the longer you sit with it.
The palate is viscous and coating with heavily brewed espresso, smoked vanilla bean, and rum raisin bread.
The finish is long and trailing with rich dark chocolate, smoked cherry syrup, charred oak, and a lingering digestif-like bitterness.
About: At Ragged Branch, they do things the hard way—because that’s the right way. Every drop of whiskey starts with grains they grow themselves right there in Virginia soil, giving it a sense of place you can actually taste. The mash is cooked and fermented on-site, then distilled low and slow in a custom copper pot still built by Vendome—producing just one barrel a day. From there, it’s aged in new, charred American oak inside their rickhouses until it’s ready. Nothing sourced, nothing rushed. Just real, farm-grown bourbon made with intention, from grain to glass.
