Tasting Notes: The nose immediately opens to orange blossom honey, lemon meringue pie and Crema Catalana with orange zest with some grilled pineapple with cinnamon sugar. Milk chocolate orange, candied orange peels and some orange dreamsicle with fudge icing on the pallet, more Crema Catalana with burnt sugar and nice florality. Finishes very soft with lingering brown butter, milk chocolate and some ruby red grapefruit with caramelized brown sugar.
About the product: Sevilla, the capital of Andalusia Spain is a city rich in cultural heritage with food, music and products unique to the region. One such product specific to this region is Vino Naranja del Condado de Huelva. We selected Vino Naranja casks from Bodegas Juncales, a third generation producer (founded in 1946, the same year as Henry Farms) whose family’s passion for their craft rivals our own. Vino Naranja, white grape wine fortified with sugar and macerated Sevillian orange peels is matured in a solera system. Reserva Sevillana is our Four Grain Rye whiskey finished in barrels from this solera program to layer the traditional flavors from this sweet and citrusy Spanish dessert wine with the distinctive flavors of our Wisconsin Four Grain Rye, honoring tradition and innovation
