About the product: Brothers Wright Reserve – Coal Mine Aged Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon, our premium four-grain small batch Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey aged deep in the heart of an old coal mine near the banks of the Tug Fork River in Pike Co. Kentucky.
The “First Cut” is our intricately blended marriage of a rye bourbon mash bill and a wheat bourbon mash bill; creating a perfectly smooth yet complex and bole blend that will stand out in any glass. On the nose, this spirit invokes the sweet caramel notes of toasted sugar that bourbon is known for followed by fresh ground cereal grains. On the palate strong flavors of fresh summer corn turn into a sweet rich butterscotch. As it works across the palate, this bourbon finishes initially with strong fall baking spices of cinnamon and nutmeg that swiftly turn into a full and smoky tobacco that leaves your mouth coated with flavor until you are ready to enjoy the next drink.
We take great pride in delivering the best bourbon to our customers. Every aged barrel of Brothers Wright bourbon is different – we never treat two barrels the same. We give every barrel our time and attention in proofing and sampling to ensure that we are delivering you the best spirit possible. With each batch of Brothers Wright Reserve will vary slightly in proof and age.
Pike Co. Ky, 1913 – The Leckie Colleries Mine No. 1 opened, supplying energy to our country during its greatest period of growth. It now has a new life housing barrels of Americas greatest spirit, Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey. Challenging the traditional whiskey aging environment, our underground facilities are designed to leverage control of temperature and pressure – cycling bourbon in and out of its American white oak cask.
As our rickhouse expands, our expressions will continue to evolve through age and experimentation, innovating what it means to be bourbon.
