Sale
Age: Blend of 6 and 7-Year
Proof: 131 proof
Mash Bill: 80/20 New York State Organic Corn/English Malt
Bottle Count: 483 bottles
Bottle Size: 750 ml
The Blend: This private blend ultimately contains bourbon from nine individual barrels. It is the marriage of two unique blends.
Tasting Notes: The nose is rich and dense - sawdust, sticky dark fruit, honey grahams, thick caramel, leather, and grape jelly.
The palate is huge and coating, gobs of raisin, date and dark cherry with cascading spices and tropical fruit hitting against the palate. There’s a flip of whipped cream on there as it opens, with cacao, espresso, leather, all gripping and foundational to the sips.
The finish is deep, and trailing. This is a dark toned molasses-like pour that’s slow to leave.
About Kings Count Barrel Strength: Clocking in at 126-133 proof depending on the batch, Kings County Barrel Strength Bourbon is blended from older barrels than our flagship bourbon, aged anywhere from four to seven years. Many enthusiasts prefer whiskey undiluted from the barrel, as it offers a more intense concentration of flavor. Bold and complex, this is our most consistently acclaimed limited-release offering. Among many awards, Breaking Bourbon listed it as a “Best Craft Whiskey” of 2020.
Awards:
- San Francisco World Spirits Competition: gold 2021, silver 2019, 2018, 2017, bronze 2016.
- ACSA Awards: Gold medal 2016, Best in Category Bourbon, silver 2019.
- ADI Craft Spirits Awards: bronze 2016, 2018. Great American Spirits Competition: Gold, 2020.
