ASW Distillery Fiddler Syncopation Bourbon

ASW Distillery Fiddler Syncopation Bourbon

Regular price $149.99 Sale

Age: 5-Years Old

Proof: 149.7 proof

Mashbill: 100 Malted Bloody Butcher Corn

Tasting Notes:  The nose is rich in sweetness with a hint of savoriness to boot - thick caramel sauce, spiced cola, with date and raisin fruitiness and a pinch of candied bacon jam.

The palate is incredibly viscous, toasty like their toasted Fiddlers from last year with heavy chocolate ganache, clinging dried fruits, and lots of charred citrus on the palate.

The finish is the best part, flat cola sweetness as more of the savoriness draws out along with long, toasted oak and continually developing petrichor.

About the product: Fiddler Syncopation is the world's first and perhaps only Single Malt Bourbon, distilled in the old Appalachian style on ASW's Vendome double copper pot stills from 100% malted "Bloody Butcher" corn, a hallowed heirloom corn varietal, malted in North Carolina. This limited release bourbon aged to perfection in 15 gallon new charred white oak barrels for over 5 years in one of the hottest parts of ASW's rickhouse, leading to a spirit clocking in at over 140 proof. It is dynamite, in so many ways.

Founded in 2010, Kings County uses New York grain and traditional distilling equipment to produce whiskey in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, just steps from the former waterfront distillery district and the legendary site of the 1860s Brooklyn Whiskey Wars. Every drop the distillery sells is made in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
