Bardstown Bourbon Company is once again celebrating Bourbon Heritage Month with two more releases: their new Ferrand Collaborative Series and Series #13 of their Discovery Series. Like last year, we are told this batch is smaller than what we've seen in the past, so we'll have a limit of 1 per as well as a few 2-packs with both Discovery 13 and Ferrand together.
Bardstown's second collaboration with France’s Maison Ferrand introduces rye into the blend, bringing spice and structure that add remarkable depth. Awarded Double Gold at the 2025 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, this Kentucky Straight Bourbon and Rye blend spends 15 months resting in Ferrand Cognac casks. This creates a whiskey layered with vibrant black cherry, toasted oak, vanilla cream, and a hint of mint—perfect for savoring neat or stealing the spotlight in a classic Vieux Carré.
Discovery 13 marks BBC's first-ever double-barreled release in the award-winning Discovery Series. This exceptional blend of Kentucky Straight Bourbons, aged 8–15 years, undergoes a unique journey—split for secondary aging in both American oak and Hungarian oak barrels, then reunited to create something truly special. The result marries classic vanilla richness with bold layers of baking spice, mocha, and coffee; a profile that feels comfortingly familiar yet captivatingly new.
