Wayward Cask 1982 Bas Armagnac
Wayward Cask 1982 Bas Armagnac
Credentials
The 1982 vintage is considered by many to be the greatest vintage of French wines and spirits for the last century. The Armagnac region experienced exceptional weather, leading to concentrated and rich flavors in the eau de vie. Of course, more than 40 years later, most of that Armagnac is gone. Wayward Cask found one remaining barrel from the now-closed Domaine Sancin. Please enjoy this one-of-a-kind Bas Armagnac with friends.
Tasting Notes:
Palate: This complex Armagnac provides a velvety texture with concentrated flavors. Heavy notes of leather, stewed fruit, tobacco, and rancio are present on the front of the palate.
Finish: Warm baking spice notes and forest floor lead to the long vanilla, raisin, and seasoned oak finish.
