Starlight Distillery 8-Year 6-Month Light Whiskey #24-8190 129.7 proof - Selected by Seelbach's

Regular price $49.99 Sale

Age: 8.5 yrs old

Proof: 129.7 proof

Finish: 6-months Cognac barrel

Bottle count: 264 bottles

Tasting Notes: The nose is rich and decadent - think vanilla cake, butterscotch, cane sugar syrup, caramel icing, with a hint of smoke like you’ve just blown out the candles on a birthday cake. Still, there’s a touch of perfumed oak and dark fruit that adds depth and keeps you coming back.

The palate is viscous and chewy, hitting bold on your first pour but softening well with air. Despite all the confectionary sweetness that carries over from the nose, it finds balance in funky, sparkling grape and apple butter notes.

The finish is plush and coating, gliding along with silky richness like warm beignets dipped in raspberry sauce and drizzled with caramel.

About the product: Starlight Distillery's light whiskey is a unique mashbill to showcase the grain used from the property at the Distillery. Our light whiskey is 100% sweet mash fermented and double pot distilled. It is matured in hand selected oak casks from around the world. This offers our light whiskey sweet notes of butterscotch, vanilla, and a rich mouthfeel.

Kings County Distillery is New York City’s oldest operating whiskey distillery, the first since Prohibition. Founded in 2010, Kings County uses New York grain and traditional distilling equipment to produce whiskey in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, just steps from the former waterfront distillery district and the legendary site of the 1860s Brooklyn Whiskey Wars. Every drop the distillery sells is made in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
