Tasting Notes: Caramelized turbinado sugar warmed with brown butter. Behind the sweetness lie some interesting dried strawberry and tangerine notes. The palate drinks way below its proof. It bursts with vanilla frosting, powdered donuts, and a touch of charred pineapple. This whiskey has an incredible mouthfeel from the 20 years of oxidation in the barrel. It's oily with notes of sweet oak and maduro cigars. 

Light Whiskey is often delicious but one-dimensional. The whiskey's age and the heritage of the barrels create a complexity rarely found in light whiskey. There are antique wood notes to round out some of the sweetness. The proof has mellowed with age. All these things work together for an unparalleled whiskey experience.

That's exactly what happened with this barrel-proof, ultra-aged American Light Whiskey. This American Light whiskey aged for 20 years in used bourbon barrels from J.E. Seagram's and Four Roses. This antique oak and age allowed for complexity and depth to develop. As we began to taste through each barrel, notes of dried fruit and cigar box are what we fell in love with. This bottle remains uncut and unfinished to highlight the elegance of aged whiskey. Enjoy!
