Description: For 46 years, this Armagnac slept in a quiet cellar, slowly maturing in its oak barrel, hidden from the world. It emerged as one of only eight casks to escape the cellar of Domaine du Carpoulat and travel across the Atlantic Ocean. Seelbach’s selected the oldest remaining barrel from the lot, offering a special evolutionary release that awakens the senses to a rare category of spirits demanding attention and appreciation—an embodiment of Élan vital, life’s vital spirit, in liquid form.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Tropical fruit medley, honey, sandalwood, rancio

Palate: Tropical fruits from the nose continue on the palate with a syrupy texture, followed by apricot marmalade and marzipan

Finish: Burnt Crème Brûlée top, cooked stone fruits, and dried herbs
