1854 Reserve Bourbon Whiskey The Boss Edition

1854 Reserve Bourbon Whiskey The Boss Edition

Regular price $109.99 Sale

Proof: 110 proof

Mash bill: Wheated mash bill

Tasting Notes:

Visual: Bronze, good legs, coats the glass well.

Nose: Pecan praline, vanilla bean, tobacco, overall an absolute dessert on the nose.

Palate: Vanilla, peach, cinnamon. Great mouthfeel. The oak doesn’t overpower the sweetness in the profile, which is so familiar from the previous Old Main blend.

About the product: 1854 Reserve was created to pay tribute to Wofford College, an icon of southern higher education, and the many lives that it has shaped since its founding in 1854. Join us as we raise a glass to dear old Wofford!

Finish: Peppery, caramelized sugar, oak. Nice medium finish that lingers long enough before transitioning to some dry oak. 1

854 Reserve Boss Blend is a great example of how an additional year (or so) and being full proof can bring out new characteristics in a mash bill. Boss Blend delivers on the sweetness of its predecessor, The Old Main Blend, but amps it up with some great fruit on the palate and a beautiful nose.
