Tasting Notes: Toffee, buttered corn bread and hot honey come through on the nose. It's a delightful array of condensed sweetness and a lightly spiced fruit. It's like a touch of plum powder on a ripe peach.
The soft sweetness continues on the palate as dark caramel and dates are the first things to pop. This is followed with some cayenne powder, clove and oak. This drinks incredibly well at 113 proof. The proof holds up well with the spice.
Toasted coconut and orange sherbet develop on the back palate. This leads to a long finish of cedar and apricot sweetness.
