Tasting Notes: The nose is dense and inviting immediately. Sweet mint, graham cracker, bread pudding, orange blossom honey, key lime pie filling, elegant oak, sugared plums, sage, and a little dusty caramel note.
Silky and coating, yet soft and easy-drinking. Lime candy, vanilla cream, graham cracker, and a unique candied berry note, with a surprising touch of watermelon before transitioning into spiced apple cider and balanced oak.
The finish is semi-juicy and rounded while still showcasing ginger and cracked pepper. A smidge of dark chocolate-dipped strawberry and smoked vanilla bean draw out into a long, layered, custardy linger.
About the product: George Dickel Tennessee rye has never been released on its own--the standard Dickel rye is MGP and they have only released their own TN-distilled rye as part of their collaboration with Leopold Bros. It is a dense, bold southern rye, minty and oaky.
