About the product:
The grape blend for our American brandies consists of three varietals: Muscat, Chenin Blanc, and Colombard. For many of our brandies, these grapes are harvested together, blended as whole fruits, pressed, and fermented together. The desire for experimentation led us to ferment and distill each varietal individually to fully understand the origins of the various flavor profiles present in our brandies.
Copper and Kings is always looking forward and innovating, but we also honor the legacy of brandy. Our single varietal American brandy made from Colombard grapes from California is our nod to brandy’s historic roots in the Cognac and Armagnac producing regions of France. Known as a high acid grape, it provides the backbone for our American brandies but also shines as a solo tour de force.
Tasting Notes:
This is the bourbon drinker’s varietal. Closest to the hazmat expression, yet more singular in character. The nose resonates with soft butterscotch and vanilla, finishing in crisp white grape skins. The palate is a harmonious blend of guava, green pineapple, and unripe banana, finishing with an exhale of honeysuckle blossoms. The bold body is layered with custard and dense cream notes that temper the proof.
