13th Colony Distillery 113 Straight Rye Whiskey Finished with Maple Wood Spirals

Last March, 13th Colony’s 113 Straight Bourbon Finished with Maple Wood Spirals debuted via lottery before landing in a wider release later in the year. Today, the next chapter arrives: 13th Colony 113 Straight Rye Whiskey Finished with Maple Wood Spirals, and our first allocation is officially live.
 
If the bourbon’s trajectory was any indication, this one won’t last long. We’ll work to bring more in, but this first round is limited.
 
A blend of 5 and 6 year rye bottled at 113 proof, this release balances intensity and finesse. The proof showcases rye’s natural spice and structure, while the maple wood spiral finish rounds the edges and layers in warmth, sweetness, and depth.
 
 Warm aromas of baked raisins, vanilla sugar, toasted pecan and honey lead into layers of cooked plums, toasted rye bread, graham cracker and biscotti.
 

Notes of craft root beer and bittersweet dark chocolate follow, finishing with a subtle savory clove spice.
