Tasting Notes: Thick and funky, the nose gives off sweet and unassuming notes of bubblegum and French vanilla coffee creamer, while deeper notes of dark brown sugar, tobacco, Tootsie Roll, maraschino cherry, raspberry, and caramel continue to grow more aromatic in the glass.
The palate warms like a great big hug. It’s incredibly syrupy, filled with maple and more of that confectionary sweetness from the nose, now moving into freshly spun cotton candy, English toffee, plum, pear brandy, and cocoa powder.
The finish never seems to end. It takes that pear brandy note and begins to move into pear vinaigrette with fresh green apple, raspberry jam, whipped chocolate mousse, and loads of barrel char, with funky sweet oak continuing to blanket the palate long after the sip. Don’t be too hasty to return, the long linger has some gorgeous oak.
