Three NewLu Private Barrels

I love to have a constant stream of different brands. I know we released 3 Nulu barrels a month ago. But, with the quality of private barrels Nulu is offering it's difficult to say "no". I almost held off on taking these samples. Thankfully I didn't. The high proof, 8-year bourbon drinks well below its 126.6 proof. It has a silky mouthfeel with lots of toasted vanilla and new leather. Exactly what you want from a high proof bourbon. The Amburana is one of the most unique Amburana's I've tasted. I swear it started as banana nut bread. Then it turns into Mexican dark chocolate. It's a wild pour to say the least. Finally, my favorite, the apple brandy finished bourbon. Apple brandy has quickly become one of my favorite finishes. The barrel is exceptionally balanced. Sweet, spice and heat levels are all married together. It's the red delicious apple sweetness at first. Then the clove and cinnamon spice begins to shine. This is followed by a nice punch a dried tobacco and leather.
