We've been on a hot streak with rye barrels recently! I think the 9-year Nashville Barrel really kicked it off. I put this Pinhook barrel right up there with our last NBC barrel. I tasted through the Pinhook samples with Sean their Master Taster and I think we were both ready to claim the winner after the first sample. This is what I love in a rye! It's gingerbread cookie dough. It's not overly spiced. It has a nice level of sweetness. There is little or no herbal notes to be found. Even if you're not collecting the full Pinhook vertical. This is one you're going to want to try.
