O.K.I. co-founders Chad Brizendine and Jake Warm are no strangers to whiskey. Their partnership began in 2013 when Chad helped create George Remus bourbon, a brand that quickly grew and was eventually acquired by MGP. In 2020, Chad and Jake shifted their focus to O.K.I., bringing their expertise to a new chapter.
Known for their single barrels and later their Reserve Series, O.K.I. has recently expanded with their Bottled-in-Bond line and the much-talked-about 15-year release. Now, they’re taking things in a new direction with a limited edition: O.K.I. Double Oaked Blended Bourbon Whiskey.
This unique blend spent over five years in its first oak before moving to a second for more than three years, using char #4 staves and char #2 heads. It combines 36% high-rye bourbon, 21% low-rye bourbon, 95/5 rye whiskey, and light whiskey, bottled at 90 proof. The result is a pour that balances age, approachability, and value - a standout on any shelf.
Whether you’re a seasoned double-oaked fan or curious to explore, this release is one worth making part of your regular rotation.

Light and creamy with notes of chocolate icing and custardy vanilla, reminiscent of a Boston Cream donut. Fruit isn’t the focus, but soft hints linger beneath, followed by seasoned, gently spiced oak and sweet leather.
A plush mouthfeel for its proof, offering great balance. Sugared stone fruits and bright citrus lead the way, followed by vanilla bean ice cream and delicate layers of honey with just the right amount of raspberry, leather, and oak.
Long and trailing, showing seasoned oak depth without heaviness. Soft caramels linger, rounding out a graceful close with a touch of orange zest and a Madeleine-like buttery linger.
The highlight of this pour is its balance. Easy-drinking yet mature, making it a dependable go-to.
