8-year & 9-year New Louisville Whiskey Co Bourbons

|

Our previous two hazmat barrels of New Louisville Whiskey Co didn't last long, but our friend James, The Bourbon Enthusiast, had a 8-year and 9-year waiting in the wing for anyone who missed out.

New Louisville barrels have been quietly aging at NULU's Louisville warehouse for years - heat cycling, building both higher age statements and peak maturity. The result: a more limited, premium tier from the NULU team.

Both Indiana bourbons, Cream Daddy is coming in at 9 years old, 130.8 in proof, and the 75/21/4 recipe, while Cowboy Brûlée is 8.5 years old, 128.6 proof, and the 60/36/4 recipe.

New Louisville 8-Year Bourbon #C522 "Cowboy Brûlée"

The nose brings brown sugar, sweet tea, warming oak & char, cinnamon icing, and honey.

The taste is dense with heavy brown sugar; soft cherry layered with sweet oak.

Long finish with sweet cinnamon icing, honey buns, with lingering notes of amaretto. Bold yet sweet, and absolutely delicious!

Sweet, bold, and riding in like dessert on horseback.

New Louisville 9-Year Bourbon #KEL146 "Cream Daddy"

The nose brings cherry streusel, vanilla icing, richly sweet oak, and brown spice.

The taste is creamy cinnamon and vanilla icing, followed by a dessert cherry reduction, with a thick and creamy feel.

Finishes with maple mousse, rich oak, with a touch of leather.
