Known for their finishing barrel, Nulu is constantly on to something new. When James from The Bourbon Enthusiast mentioned a Toasted Honey barrel we were thrilled! The pairing of rich oak spice from the toasted barrel and sweet fruity notes from the honey definitely worked on paper. But, it's what's in the glass that counts! Thankfully, this one didn't disappoint. There's an incredible balance of floral honey, charred vanilla and French toast. The high rye bourbon mash bill lends enough spice to balance the sweetness. Nothing overpowers. Each note works together to build a dynamic flavor profile. Drinking this bourbon makes you think "what other barrel combo's would work together?"

Tasting Notes: The nose is floral honey, French toast, and charred vanilla. The palate is rich and creamy with toasted oak sweetness, dark caramel, and vanilla bean. The finish brings layers of toasted honey, burnt marshmallows, and lingers with hints of mocha.
