New Releases from 291 Colorado Whiskey
|291 Colorado Whiskey is one of Colorado's oldest grain-to-bottle distilleries - and we just added a slew of their latest unique and experimental whiskeys to the site.
Their Anniversary bottle "XII" comes in at 134.6 proof - the year’s best barrels are chosen for their annual anniversary batch of Barrel Proof Colorado Rye Whiskey.
Batch 13 "E" is a very rare American Single Malt aged over 4 years.
All Rye Batch #2 is crafted with 100% rye malt ( 50% Colorado Malted Rye, 50% German Rye Malt) and finished with toasted aspen wood staves.
291 “M” Colorado Whiskey starts as 291 Colorado Rye Whiskey, which is aged in new American White Oak barrels and finished with Aspen staves, before being transferred to barrels previously used to barrel-age Wisconsin maple syrup by producer Lincoln County Reserve Maple Syrup.
Originally made as an experimental batch, Bad Guy is a wheated four-grain bourbon. 291’s first award-winning bourbon whiskey and it’s most bold, rich, and complex whiskey. Made from corn, malted wheat, malted rye and beech smoked barley mash, this whiskey is heavier on the sweet side despite its high proof.
Lastly, their favorite mistake… 291’s High Rye Colorado Bourbon was first created by accident when a double dose of rye was added to the bourbon recipe.
Today's release also brings with it a restock of the Barrel Proof Single Barrel Bourbon, and Barrel Proof Single Barrel Rye, as well as their small batches.
