My first expansion into branded bourbon releases started with the first Manifest Whiskey Project. This was back in 2016 when I was still running my blog Bourbonr. Seelbach's still wasn't an idea yet. But, we found some incredible 10-year MGP barrels, blended them and release MWP #1. Had we known what was going to happen to bourbon over the next 8 years we would've stocked up on those barrels. It's taken us this long to track down barrels we felt fit the original MWP flavor profile. After a long wait, MWP Batch 2 is here! This 10-year, cask strength, high-rye bourbon is just as good as the original.
About: The Manifest Whiskey Project dates back to 2016 as a collaboration between Manifest Distilling and Bourbonr. This project was has morphed over the years with another release in 2021 as a collaboration with Seelbach's. But, there was always something about that original 10-year, high-rye bourbon from the first release. Thankfully, after an 8-year wait, we were able to track down more barrels! Partnered with Jay West, better known across the internet as T8ke, from Whiskey Raiders and more, we tasted through each barrel and got to blending. The final product is a balance of aged oak, dried fruit and amplified spice.
