It's Pinhook Vertical Rye Time

We get pretty excited around these parts when the Pinhook Vertical Series releases get rolling for the year.
For those not familiar, every year Pinhook releases a new bourbon and rye, each connected to a promising young thoroughbred. The whiskey in each release is the best expression of their barrels at that moment in time, and they blend and proof releases to be as unique as the horse on the label. Pinhook has no established flavor profile or proof, only an ethos to produce the best whiskey every vintage. The Rye Vertical Series is a unique opportunity to follow a group of 450 MGP barrels as they age from 4 to 12 years and experience the arc of flavors throughout the 9-year journey. While we did have Vertical Series Single Barrel Ryes last year, we didn't get an opportunity to offer the blend because it sold out before we could make it public, but we managed to set some aside for you all this year. Blended from just 32 barrels, this 8-year-old rye showcases a bright nose of orange zest, green apple, caramel, and cinnamon leads to a rich palate of licorice, burnt sugar, cedar, and clove.
