In honor of opening day, one of our favorite distilleries is back with their ongoing collaboration with the Atlanta Braves: Fiddler Chin Music.
ASW was one of the original buyers of the 45% wheat mashbill distilled by MGP. They have since taken the unique mashbill to new heights by finishing it in a number of creative ways, as seen here.
The idea originally took shape when the Braves front office selected their own ASW private barrel. Derek Shiller, President & CEO of the Atlanta Braves, and Mike Plant, President & CEO of Braves Development Company, are avid bourbon collectors. The team at ASW design the batches based on their feedback, varying the rations of toasted barrels that go into each one. By varying the toast and amount of time in the toasted barrel, each batch enjoys its own unique profile.
The Toasted Wheated last year was one of our favorite toasted products of the year, and with notes of butterscotch, peach cobbler, and rich oak, this 5-year 100 proof Chin Music follows closely in its footsteps.
